Exporting to the European Union - Main regulatory procedures
BIORIUS offers regulatory assistance for all the procedures required by the EU Cosmetics Directive 76/768/EEC*.
To place a cosmetic product on the EU market, the following regulatory procedures must be completed:

Product information file ("Dossier")

Assessment of the safety for human health

Notification to the competent authority

Declaration to poison control centers
* In accordance with the transposition of the EU Cosmetics Directive 76/768/EEC into national laws and given that its headquarters are located in Mons, Belgium, BIORIUS observes the Belgian transposition of the EU Cosmetics Directive set by the Belgian Royal Decree of 15 October 1997 on cosmetic products.
On July 11, 2013, the EU Cosmetics Directive 76/768/EEC will be effectively replaced by the provisionsof EU Cosmetic Products Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. On that date, the applicable regulatory procedures will be those required by Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009.
